Designates May 15, 2013 as Alpha Kappa Alpha Day in the State of Illinois to honor the sorority and its work.

Recognizes Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, founded in 1908 at Howard University and incorporated in 1913, for 105 years of service to the African-American community with its mission of "Service to All Mankind."

Notes prominent Alpha Kappa Alpha members including Eleanor Roosevelt, Coretta Scott King, Rosa Parks, Maya Angelou, Toni Morrison, Alicia Keys, and other notable women in business, entertainment, law, and government.

Acknowledges Illinois General Assembly members who are Alpha Kappa Alpha members, including Senators Mattie Hunter and Toi Hutchinson, and Representatives Monique Davis, India Hammons, and Nia Odeoti-Hassan.

Highlights the sorority's Emerging Young Leaders program, which will impact 10,000 girls in grades 6-8 across the Central Region (Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, Minnesota, Wisconsin, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Kentucky) with leadership development and civic engagement initiatives.
