Recognizes the City of Du Quoin's renaming of the Popular Street Overpass to the John E. Rednour Overpass in honor of former Mayor John E. Rednour's service from 1989 to 2013.

Acknowledges Mayor Rednour's successful efforts to secure State and federal funding for construction of the overpass, which was completed in 1995.

Notes that the overpass eliminates traffic delays caused by frequent freight, coal, and passenger trains blocking Main and Popular Streets, improving emergency services access throughout the city.

Requests that the Illinois Department of Transportation erect plaques or signs at suitable locations to identify the overpass by its new name, consistent with State and federal regulations.

Directs that a copy of the resolution be presented to Du Quoin Mayor Rex Duncan and the Secretary of the Illinois Department of Transportation.
