House Resolution recognizing Bruce Nesbit on the 50th anniversary of founding Orion Industries, Ltd., a company specializing in Teflon coatings for consumer, automotive, and industrial products.

Orion Industries has been a DuPont Licensed Applicator of Teflon since 1979 and also creates and builds application equipment; the company has grown from 3 employees in 1964 to 138 employees today.

Bruce Nesbit holds 31 United States Patents with 9 more pending, was inducted into the Chicago Area Entrepreneurship Hall of Fame in 2013, and received the DuPont Plunkett Award for Industrial Innovation in 2014.

Nesbit and his wife Diane Jacobson donate to multiple Chicago organizations including museums, theaters, the Infant Welfare Society of Chicago, Adaptive Adventures, the Wounded Warriors Project, and various medical research initiatives.

Resolution directs presentation of a suitable copy to Bruce Nesbit as an expression of esteem and respect for his entrepreneurial success and civic contributions.
