Recognizes Illinois State Representative Sandra Pihos for 12 years of service to the state and people of Illinois.

Notes her distinguished career including 41 years as a Glen Ellyn resident, prior service as member and president of Glenbard High School District #87 School Board, and work as teacher, guidance counselor, and restaurant management executive before her election in 2002.

Highlights her legislative work as long-time member of Elementary and Secondary Education Committee serving as Minority Spokesperson, and membership on numerous other committees including Appropriations, Consumer Protection, Commerce, Housing, and Tollway Oversight.

Commends her record on education, social security protection, consumer protection, identity theft, affordable housing, children's health insurance, and environmental issues, along with numerous awards from organizations including Illinois Optometric Association, American Cancer Society, and Illinois Farm Bureau.

Extends congratulations on her retirement from the Illinois House of Representatives and directs presentation of a suitable copy of the resolution to Representative Pihos as a symbol of respect and esteem.
