Honors State Representative Charles "Chuck" Jefferson for more than 13 years of service in the Illinois House of Representatives and his dedication to Rockford and Illinois.

Recognizes Rep. Jefferson's military service in the United States Army from 1965 to 1971 and his prior service on the Winnebago County Board, including chairing the Public Works Committee.

Highlights his legislative accomplishments including creating a new judicial circuit for increased minority representation, bringing capital construction projects to his district, and advocating for passenger rail service between Rockford and Chicago.

Acknowledges his advocacy for public safety, veterans' rights, seniors, school funding, and community programs including support for Rockford's CeaseFire program and Booker Washington Center.

Directs that a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Rep. Jefferson as an expression of the House's respect and esteem.
