Illinois House of Representatives mourns the death of Jordan Lewis of Carterville, who died by suicide on October 17, 2013 at age 15.

Jordan Lewis was a sophomore at Carterville High School who played football; his suicide note attributed his death to bullying he experienced at school.

The resolution honors Jordan Lewis's memory and calls on Illinois citizens to treat others with respect, kindness, and love as a reminder of bullying's severe consequences.

A suitable copy of the resolution will be presented to Jordan Lewis's surviving family members, including his parents, two siblings, and extended family.
