Commends Dwight Baird, Chief of Police of the Village of Oswego, for 11 years of service to Oswego residents as he transitions to Kendall County Sheriff.

Recognizes Baird's 24 years total in law enforcement, beginning as a Deputy in the Kendall County Sheriff's Office in 1990 and later serving as Oswego Police Chief.

Acknowledges Baird's 2014 Police Chief of the Year award and his achievements in reducing crime through community prevention, fiscal accountability, and securing protective resources.

Notes the Oswego Police Department achieved National Accreditation from the National Board of Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, a distinction held by only 3% of departments nationwide.
