Amends the State's Attorneys Appellate Prosecutor's Act to modify badge and identification requirements for office employees.

Director may issue shields or other distinctive identification to employees not exercising peace officer powers if determined necessary for carrying out job responsibilities.

Investigators exercising peace officer powers must still receive distinct badges clearly stating Office authorization and containing unique identifying numbers.

Maintains existing requirements that investigators complete basic police training or have minimum 5 years law enforcement experience with 2 years in investigatory capacity.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
