IL SB1213

Amends the State Employee Indemnification Act to add the Department of Juvenile Justice to the list of state agencies whose contractors and service providers qualify for indemnification protections.

Modifies the Juvenile Court Act of 1987 to replace references to the "Department of Corrections" with "Department of Juvenile Justice" in provisions governing placement and commitment of minors adjudged wards of the court.

Excludes institutions under the authority of the Department of Juvenile Justice from being designated as placement options for minors in juvenile court proceedings, consistent with existing restrictions on Department of Corrections facilities.

Takes effect upon becoming law.
