IL SB1341

Amends the Open Space Lands Acquisition and Development Act to allow the Department to make grants to local governments for park, recreation, conservation areas, marinas, shorelines, and open space land acquisition on a reimbursement basis.

Limits any single project to no more than 10% of appropriated funds in any fiscal year.

Establishes a 50/50 matching requirement for state grants to local governments for open space acquisition and capital development projects.

Allows "distressed" local governments, as defined by Department administrative rule, to receive up to 90% state assistance instead of 50%, with a cap of 10% of annual appropriated funds available for these distressed government grants.

Takes effect upon becoming law.
