IL SB1352

Designates the Chief Information Officer of the State to coordinate with state agencies in developing systems to accurately report financial data, including a specific module for managing and administering grant funds.

Requires each state grantor agency authorized to award grant funds to non-state entities to periodically publish grant award data sets on data.illinois.gov or another publicly accessible website designated by the Chief Information Officer.

Mandates that published grant data sets include the grantor agency name, grantee name, purpose of award, award amount, award date, and award duration at minimum.

Authorizes grantor agencies to make best efforts to include additional relevant data in the data sets using available resources and technology.

Exempts data from publication requirements if subject to confidentiality restrictions under federal, state, or local law, or if redacting protected data would impose undue financial or administrative burden.
