IL SB1367

Allows counties with populations between 175,000 and 200,000 (as of 2010 census) that contain a municipality with a municipal board of election commissioners to establish a county board of election commissioners by voter approval.

Requires the county board of election commissioners to supersede the municipal board of election commissioners within that municipality's territory.

Specifies that the county board shall have 5 members appointed by the circuit court, with at least 2 members residing in the affected municipality (one from each major political party) and at least 2 members from outside the municipality but within the county (one from each major political party).

Requires transfer of all election-related records, materials, and unused appropriations from the county clerk and municipal board of election commissioners to the new county board.

Takes effect upon becoming law.
