Early voting by personal appearance begins 15 days before a general primary, consolidated primary, consolidated election, or general election and extends through the 3rd day before election day.

Permanent early voting polling places must open 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on weekdays and for 3 or more consecutive hours between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.

Designated permanent early voting polling places must remain open for at least 8 hours total on any holiday during the early voting period and at least 14 hours total on the final weekend during the early voting period.

Election authorities must notify the State Board of Elections and provide public notice of early voting hours on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.

In 2013 only, election authorities may close early voting places on Good Friday, Holy Saturday, and Easter Sunday if the place remains open 2 hours later on April 3, 4, and 5 of 2013.
