IL SB1402

Amends the Board of Higher Education Act by making a technical change to Section 2 concerning the creation and composition of the Board.

Removes redundant language by striking one instance of the word "the" in the phrase describing the 10 members appointed by the Governor with Senate advice and consent.

Board of Higher Education continues to consist of 16 members including 10 Governor-appointed members (with Senate confirmation), representatives from public universities and private colleges, and student members.

Maintains requirement that one of the 10 Governor-appointed members must be a faculty member at an Illinois public university as of July 1, 2005.
