IL SB1416

Amends the Board of Higher Education Act by making a technical change to Section 2 concerning the creation of the Board.

Removes duplicate language ("the") from the provision describing the 10 members appointed by the Governor with Senate advice and consent.

Maintains the Board composition of 16 members including 10 gubernatorial appointees, university/college representatives, state board chairmen, and 2 student members.

Requires one of the 10 gubernatorial appointees to be a faculty member at an Illinois public university, effective July 1, 2005.
