IL SB1441

Amends Section 8 of the Pharmacy Practice Act concerning licensure by endorsement and emergency licensure for pharmacists.

Makes a technical change by removing the word "The" from the beginning of the section and replacing it with "The" to correct grammatical structure.

Allows the Department to license pharmacists without examination from other U.S. jurisdictions or countries if their original licensure requirements were substantially equivalent to Illinois requirements.

Permits temporary emergency authorization for licensed pharmacists from other jurisdictions to practice in Illinois following natural disasters or catastrophic events, with authorization expiring upon license issuance or denial.

Authorizes the Department to issue emergency licenses to out-of-state licensed pharmacists during declared Executive Orders for natural or manmade disasters or other exceptional situations creating extraordinary demand for pharmacy services.
