IL SB1445

Amends the Firearm Owners Identification Card Act (430 ILCS 65/1) to make a technical correction to Section 1's legislative declaration.

Changes the wording in the legislative declaration from "that that" to "that" to correct a grammatical error.

Maintains the existing purpose of establishing a system to identify persons not qualified to acquire or possess firearms, firearm ammunition, stun guns, and tasers in Illinois.

Preserves the goal of providing law enforcement with a practical system to identify persons prohibited from acquiring firearms and ammunition under the Criminal Code of 1961 and this Act.
