IL SB1455

Requires a minimum of 3 continuing education hours related to cultural competence in social work practice for license renewal under the Clinical Social Work and Social Work Practice Act.

Limits continuing education obtained through methods other than face-to-face instruction or direct experience to no more than 50% of total required hours, unless a waiver or variance is granted.

Allows the Department to specify by rule circumstances under which continuing education requirements may be waived.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
