IL SB1535

Amends Section 7-1-13 of the Illinois Municipal Code to prohibit municipalities from annexing territory owned by public water districts organized under the Public Water Districts Act of July 25, 1945, with limited exceptions.

Exception allows annexation of public water district property only as provided under Section 11-151-4 of the Illinois Municipal Code.

Maintains existing annexation prohibitions for forest preserve districts in counties with 3,000,000 or more residents and park districts, requiring consent from those entities.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
