IL SB1548

Amends the Election Code to require each election authority to conduct early voting at a high traffic location on community college campuses within their jurisdiction, in addition to public university campuses.

Expands the definition of "community college" to include all institutions defined by Section 1-2 of the Public Community College Act.

Makes early voting requirements at public universities and community colleges permanent for all election years, eliminating the previous repeal date of May 31, 2013.

Allows election authorities to limit early voting at these locations to registered voters in precincts where the institution is located and bordering precincts if voting equipment cannot accommodate all ballot forms, or extend to all registered voters if equipment permits.

Requires public universities and community colleges to provide high traffic area space and cooperate with election authorities to implement these early voting provisions.
