Allows student athletes to obtain a waiver from practice requirements if their absence was due to military training involvement.

Student athletes apply for the waiver with their coach or athletic director, who reviews the request and makes a recommendation to the school board for approval or denial.

Grants immunity from civil and criminal liability to coaches, athletic directors, schools, school boards, and school districts for granting waivers, except in cases of willful or wanton misconduct.

Applies to both high schools under Section 10-20.55 and applies similar provisions under Section 34-18.48.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
