IL SB1682

Amends the Election Code to require all voters voting on election day to present government-issued photo identification to election judges for identity verification.

Acceptable forms of identification include an Illinois driver's license, Illinois non-driver identification card issued by the Secretary of State, or another government-issued identification document containing a photograph.

Previously, photo identification was required only for early voting; this bill extends the requirement to all in-person voting on election day.

Takes effect immediately upon passage.
