Adds October 7 as "Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans Remembrance Day" to the list of commemorative holidays in Illinois schools

Designates this day as a regular school day with instruction about the honored veterans to be incorporated into the curriculum on that date or at other appropriate times during the school year

State Board of Education shall prepare and make available instructional materials related to Iraq and Afghanistan veterans for use by school boards

School boards may establish their own commemorative holidays and shall include relevant instruction about commemorated persons, activities, or events
