Adds "court security officer" to the definition of "law enforcement officer" under the Line of Duty Compensation Act (820 ILCS 315/2).

Court security officers employed by the State or local governmental entities are now eligible for line of duty compensation benefits when killed or injured in the active performance of their duties.

Maintains existing eligibility requirements that injuries must arise from violence or accidental cause and result in death within one year of the injury.

Takes effect upon becoming law.
