SB1755 Summary

• Amends the Video Gaming Act (230 ILCS 40/25) by removing language that restricted licensed establishments, truck stops, fraternal establishments, and veterans establishments from locating near inter-track wagering location licensees under the Illinois Horse Racing Act of 1975.

• Eliminates the reference to "inter-track wagering location licensee" from location restriction provisions, leaving restrictions only for organization licensees, inter-track wagering licensees, riverboat home docks, schools, and places of worship.

• Updates the Board's waiver authority language to allow it to waive the 1,000-foot distance requirement from horse racing facilities without reference to inter-track wagering location licensees.

• Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
