SB1787 Summary

• Amends the Illinois Funeral or Burial Funds Act by adding a new ground for denial, suspension, or revocation of licenses under Section 3a.

• Allows the Comptroller to refuse, suspend, or revoke a license if an applicant or licensee engages in a lockout as defined in the Employment of Strikebreakers Act and the Comptroller has reason to believe the lockout negatively impacts consumers.

• Requires the Comptroller to hold a hearing with at least 10 days' notice before refusing to issue or renew a license or suspending or revoking an existing license.

• Takes effect upon becoming law.
