IL SB1831

Amends Section 2.33 of the Wildlife Code to require written permission from a property owner before taking, attempting to take, or shooting at any wildlife on another person's property.

Defines "owner's designee" as anyone the owner authorizes in writing, with the written authorization requiring the property description, extent of designee's authority, and the owner's notarized signature.

Removes the previous requirement that hunters demonstrate permission to law enforcement in the field and the "prima facie evidence" provision, replacing it with a notice requirement that the law enforcement officer must receive notice of a violation from the owner or owner's designee before enforcement.

Clarifies that an owner's designee (rather than just tenant) can provide notice of violations regarding unauthorized hunting or wildlife taking on the property.
