State Police Merit Board may hire employees as necessary and appropriate to carry out its duties and responsibilities.

Employees of the Merit Board are exempt from the Personnel Code and shall not be subject to its provisions.

Merit Board shall establish salary schedules based on employee classification and merit increases that apply to all employees.

Merit Board may suspend or dismiss employees and shall adopt rules establishing grounds for dismissal.

Adds State Police Merit Board employees to the list of positions exempt from Personnel Code jurisdictions in the Personnel Code.
