• Amends the Unified Code of Corrections to redirect drug-related offense assessment funds from the Drug Traffic Prevention Fund to the Criminal Justice Information Projects Fund, administered by the Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority instead of the Department of State Police.

• Maintains existing penalties for drug offenses including a fine equal to the street value of seized substances, a $100 fine for the Trauma Center Fund, and a $5 fee for the Spinal Cord Injury Paralysis Cure Research Trust Fund.

• Establishes a $25 assessment for drug offenses to fund drug task forces and Metropolitan Enforcement Groups through the Criminal Justice Information Projects Fund.

• Creates a $20 assessment with proceeds split among the Prescription Pill and Drug Disposal Fund (90%), the Criminal Justice Information Projects Fund (5%), and the Circuit Court Clerk Operation and Administrative Fund (5%).
