Amendment to Senate Bill 1870 - Charitable Games

• Adds definitions for "house-backed games" (where the sponsoring organization plays against participants and stakes the game) and "player-backed games" (where players compete against each other, not the organization).

• Removes the 4-event annual limit on participation in charitable games management/operation for individual volunteers and members.

• Exempts player-backed games from bonding requirements that apply to house-backed games.

• Increases the maximum number of days each licensee may conduct charitable games from 4 days to 6 days per year.

• Allows municipalities to conduct charitable games every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (replacing the previous 16-event annual limit); allows consultants hired by licensed organizations to attend events for advice and on-site training without constituting event management.
