Removes the requirement that optometrists be "therapeutically certified" to request clinical laboratory examinations, allowing all licensed optometrists to request such tests.

Eliminates restrictions on optometrist-requested laboratory tests to only diagnostic or therapeutic purposes related to specific ocular pharmaceutical agents.

Permits licensed optometrists (in addition to physicians and dentists) to include interpretation, diagnosis, prognosis, or suggested treatment information on laboratory report forms.

Applies to the Illinois Clinical Laboratory and Blood Bank Act by amending Sections 2-127.5, 7-101, and 7-102.
