IL SB1915

Amends the Criminal Identification Act to require all policing bodies to furnish fingerprints and descriptions daily to the Department of State Police for persons charged as adults arrested for felonies and Class A or B misdemeanors.

Removes the mandatory requirement to report fingerprints and descriptions for minors age 10 and over arrested for felony-level offenses, and makes reporting discretionary for minors arrested for Class A or B misdemeanors.

Prohibits forwarding law enforcement records to the Federal Bureau of Investigation for minors arrested before age 17, or for non-felony offenses committed before age 18, unless the minor was charged as an adult under the Juvenile Court Act of 1987.

Excludes moving and non-moving traffic violations from reporting requirements, except for specific violations under Illinois Vehicle Code Chapter 4, Section 11-204.1 and Section 11-501.

Excludes conservation offenses classified as Class B misdemeanors from reporting requirements.
