SB1921 Summary

• Amends the Illinois Pension Code Section 9-112 to define "salary" as the actual sum paid and reported to the Fund, exclusive of overtime and extra service, beginning July 1, 1957.

• Adds Section 9-119.1 to define "earned annuity" as either the accrued annuity under Section 9-134 disregarding eligibility requirements, or the age and service annuity under Sections 9-125 through 9-128.

• Creates Section 9-202.1 authorizing the board to photograph, microfilm, or digitally reproduce records in accordance with the Local Records Act, with such reproductions deemed original documents for all legal purposes.

• Modifies Section 9-190 to expand board powers and duties to reference the new Section 9-202.1.

• Repeals Section 9-221 of the Illinois Pension Code.
