Amends Section 3-3001 of the Counties Code regarding coroner commissions and training requirements.

Requires coroners elected for the first time to apply for Illinois Law Enforcement Training Standards Board training within 30 days of assuming office, with completion required within 6 months.

Mandates all coroners complete the training program at least once during their service and attend a minimum of 24 hours of accredited continuing education annually.

Allows coroners to direct chief deputy coroners or deputy coroners to attend training, provided the coroner has completed the program.

Requires the Illinois Law Enforcement Training Standards Board to consult with the Illinois Coroners Association and Illinois Necropsy Board when developing the coroner training program.
