IL SB2147

Amends the Freedom of Information Act (5 ILCS 140/5) by making a technical correction to Section 5 regarding public record lists.

Removes a redundant instance of the word "the" that appeared twice at the beginning of the section concerning records prepared or received after the effective date.

Maintains the requirement that each public body keep and make available a reasonably current list of all types or categories of records under its control.

Preserves the requirement that public bodies provide descriptions of how electronically stored records can be obtained in a format comprehensible to non-technical users.
