• Allows individuals utilizing federal Post-9/11 Veterans Educational Assistance Act benefits to be deemed Illinois residents for in-state tuition purposes beginning with the 2013-2014 academic year at all public universities and community colleges.

• Applies the veterans tuition benefit to the University of Illinois, Southern Illinois University, Chicago State University, Eastern Illinois University, Governors State University, Illinois State University, Northeastern Illinois University, Northern Illinois University, and Western Illinois University.

• Applies the veterans tuition benefit to public community college districts through amended tuition provisions.

• Effective date: upon becoming law.
