IL SB2211

Amends the Board of Higher Education Act by making a technical change to Section 2 concerning the creation of the Board.

Removes duplicate language ("the") from the section describing appointment of 10 members by the Governor with Senate advice and consent.

Board of Higher Education consists of 16 members including 10 gubernatorial appointees, one public university governing board member, one private college board member, chairs of the Illinois Community College Board and Illinois Student Assistance Commission, and 2 student members.

Requires one of the 10 Governor-appointed members to be a faculty member at an Illinois public university effective July 1, 2005.

Specifies that no more than 7 of the Governor's appointees (excluding the Chairman) may be affiliated with the same political party.
