IL SB2219

Amends the Illinois Public Aid Code to create new provisions for personal needs allowances for Medicaid-eligible individuals in specific facilities.

Requires the Department to increase monthly personal needs allowances by the same amount as any federal cost-of-living increase to Supplemental Security Income or Social Security benefits for inpatients in ID/DD Community Care Act licensed facilities.

Extends the same cost-of-living increase requirement to individuals enrolled in the Illinois Home and Community Based Services Medicaid Waiver program for adults with developmental disabilities residing in Community-Integrated Living Arrangements licensed facilities.

Establishes a floor that prevents personal needs allowance reductions below rates calculated on January 1, 2013 for individuals in Community-Integrated Living Arrangements facilities.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
