IL SB2252

Removes the $65,000,000 annual cap on health insurance reimbursements for Chicago Teachers Pension Fund recipients.

Reduces the maximum annual reimbursement from 75% to 50% of total health insurance costs for all recipients, plus any unpaid past-due amounts.

Limits individual recipients to receive reimbursement equal to 2.2% of health insurance costs for each year of service credit.

Exempts the state from reimbursement obligations under the State Mandates Act for implementing these changes.

Takes effect January 1, 2014.
