IL SB2254

Amends the Electronic Fund Transfer Act (205 ILCS 616/20) with a technical correction to Section 20 regarding the Commissioner of Banks and Real Estate's powers and duties.

Makes a grammatical change by striking one instance of "The" at the beginning of Section 20 and underlining another to correct duplicate language.

Preserves all five enumerated powers of the Commissioner: promulgating rules, issuing enforcement orders, appointing hearing officers, subpoenaing witnesses and documents, and conducting hearings.

Effective date carries forward from the original legislation (P.A. 92-811, effective August 21, 2002).
