IL SB2269

Prohibits state officers, employees, political subdivisions, and federal firearms dealers licensed under 18 U.S.C. 923 from enforcing federal laws relating to firearms, firearm accessories, or ammunition owned or manufactured in Illinois and remaining exclusively within the state.

Establishes that federal officials, agents, or employees who enforce federal firearms laws on intrastate firearms, accessories, or ammunition are guilty of a Class 4 felony.

Declares any federal law, rule, regulation, or order created or effective on or after January 1, 2013 unenforceable in Illinois if it bans or restricts semi-automatic firearms or firearm magazines, or requires registration of firearms, magazines, or firearm accessories.

Permits persons charged with federal violations related to intrastate firearm manufacture, sale, transfer, or possession to request the Illinois Attorney General to defend them.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
