IL SB2272

Increases the minimum prison sentence for armed habitual criminal offenses from 6 years to 10 years and the maximum from 30 years to 45 years.

Makes unlawful sale or delivery of firearms on school premises, school conveyances, or public housing residential properties a non-probationable Class 3 felony with a mandatory sentence of 2 to 5 years imprisonment.

Makes use of a stolen firearm in the commission of a forcible felony a non-probationable Class 2 felony with a mandatory sentence of 3 to 7 years imprisonment.

Adds violations of Section 24-3.3 (unlawful firearm sales) and Section 24-3.7 (use of stolen firearm in forcible felony) to the list of offenses that prohibit probation under the Unified Code of Corrections.
