IL SB2273

Amends Section 3-14-2 of the Unified Code of Corrections regarding supervision of persons on parole or mandatory supervised release.

Changes "The" to "The" in subsection (a) regarding the Department's custody and supervision of parolees and releasees (technical correction).

Specifies mandatory circumstances requiring parole violation warrants, including felonies with firearms or knives, sex offender registration violations, domestic battery, stalking, protection order violations, and certain serious felony offenses.

Requires supervising officers to verify monthly that sex offenders comply with registration requirements under Section 3-3-7.

Maintains existing provisions for parole plan preparation, condition reporting, officer powers of arrest, and specialized training for supervising officers working with female releasees.
