Prohibits employers from inquiring whether prospective employees or previous employers have filed workers' compensation claims or received benefits under the Workers' Compensation Act or Workers' Occupational Diseases Act.

Prohibits employers from requesting or requiring employees or prospective employees to provide passwords or account information to access personal social networking website accounts.

Allows employers to maintain workplace policies governing use of employer-owned electronic equipment, including internet and social media use, and to monitor such equipment without requiring password access.

Permits employers to obtain publicly available information about prospective employees and employees in compliance with the law.

Creates an exception allowing employers to access professional accounts (not personal accounts) when required by Illinois insurance laws, federal law, or self-regulatory organizations under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934.
