State Board of Elections shall establish and maintain an online voter registration system allowing applicants to register and change existing registration information.

Applicants may register online if their registration information is verifiable through state agency databases and their signature is available in a database that can be imported into the system.

State agencies must provide information requested by the State Board of Elections to maintain the online registration system, and the Board may cross-reference applicant information with state, federal, and other states' databases for verification purposes.

Online applications must contain all information required for paper applications, with signatures obtained from state agency databases rather than handwritten by applicants.

Applicants must mark a box affirming under penalty of perjury that they are the person registering, all information is true and correct, and they authorize state agencies to transmit their signature to election authorities for use on the online application.
