IL SB2699

Amends the College and Career Success for All Students Act by adding Section 30 establishing requirements for Advanced Placement (AP) exam credit.

Students who score 3 or higher on a College Board Advanced Placement examination are entitled to receive postsecondary level course credit at public institutions of higher education in Illinois.

Public universities and community colleges must apply a uniform standard in awarding course credit for AP exam scores of 3 or higher and must allow students to apply that credit toward corresponding course requirements for degree completion.

Becomes effective immediately upon passage.
