IL SB2700

Amends Section 1-2 of the Illinois School Code (105 ILCS 5/1-2) to make a technical change regarding statutory construction.

Clarifies that provisions of the School Code that are the same as prior statutes shall be construed as a continuation of those prior provisions, not as new enactments.

Establishes that references to prior Acts of the General Assembly or sections thereof in other statutes shall refer to the corresponding provisions as continued in the School Code.
