• Amends Section 1-2 of the School Code (105 ILCS 5/1-2) regarding statutory construction
• Makes a technical grammatical correction by capitalizing "The" at the beginning of the construction provision
• Establishes that provisions of the School Code that are the same as prior statutes are continuations rather than new enactments
• Provides that references to prior Acts or sections continued in the School Code shall refer to those provisions as codified in the current Code
