IL SB2726

Amends the Rivers, Lakes, and Streams Act (615 ILCS 5/5) with a technical correction to Section 5.

Grants the Department of Natural Resources jurisdiction and supervision over all rivers and lakes of Illinois in which the State or its people have rights or interests.

Requires the Department to create a county-by-county list of all Illinois waters, including both navigable and non-navigable bodies.

Mandates the list specify for lakes the extent of shorelines and water surface area, and for rivers whether they are navigable or non-navigable and whether they have been meandered.
