IL SB2727

Amends the Environmental Protection Act to add Section 52.5, which addresses violations related to cosmetic products containing microbeads.

Establishes civil penalties of up to $1,000 for the first violation of Section 52.5 and up to $2,500 for second or subsequent violations.

Modifies Section 42 to include the new penalty structure for microbead-related violations as subsection (b)(7).

Penalties collected are to be deposited into the Environmental Protection Trust Fund for use in accordance with the Environmental Protection Trust Fund Act.
